Privacy policy.
This notice explains what personal data Green Tech Hub Ltd collects when you contact us, why we hold it, how long we keep it and the rights you have under UK data-protection law.
Talk to us about your projectWho we are
Green Tech Hub Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for the personal data you provide through this website. We are registered in England & Wales (company number 09723560), with our trading address at Pure Offices, Broadwell Road, Oldbury, B69 4BY. You can reach us about anything in this policy by emailing enquiries@greentechhub.co.uk or calling 0121 661 6400.
What data we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us when you complete an enquiry or quote form, or when you email or call us. That typically means:
- your name;
- your business or organisation name;
- your email address;
- your phone number; and
- the details of your enquiry, the message you send us about your site, roof or energy requirements.
We do not ask for special-category data, and please do not send payment-card details, passwords or other sensitive information through the enquiry form.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the information above for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and to prepare and provide a quotation or proposal for our commercial solar, battery storage, EV charging or maintenance services. In practice that means contacting you, arranging a free energy survey, and following up on the work you have asked us about.
Under the UK GDPR, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you have made and in providing the service you requested. Where we later wish to send you marketing or keep you updated on unrelated offers, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only for as long as we need it. If your enquiry does not become a project, we generally hold it for up to 24 months so we can pick the conversation back up if you return to us, and then delete it. Where you do become a customer, we retain the relevant records for as long as is necessary to fulfil the contract and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver the service you asked for:
- Finance introductions. If you ask us about funding your system, we introduce you to Phoenix Financial Consultants Limited (“Phoenix”), a credit broker, so they can discuss finance options with you. Green Tech Hub Ltd is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Phoenix (Financial Services Register No. 987950). We pass on only the details needed to make that introduction, and only when you have asked us to.
- Service providers. We use trusted suppliers to run our website, email and customer-management systems on our behalf. They may process your data only on our instructions and are bound to keep it secure.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose data where we are required to by law or by a regulator.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected (rectification);
- ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it (erasure);
- object to, or ask us to restrict, our use of your data; and
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at enquiries@greentechhub.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.
Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed to make the site work and, where enabled, basic analytics that help us understand how visitors use the site. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not stop you using the site.
How to contact us or complain
If you have any question about this policy or about how we handle your data, please contact Green Tech Hub Ltd at enquiries@greentechhub.co.uk, by phone on 0121 661 6400, or by post at Pure Offices, Broadwell Road, Oldbury, B69 4BY.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would, though, welcome the chance to resolve your concern directly first.
