Here are our top tips for saving money on your energy bills! Don’t waste your hard earned money on wasted electric.

At Green Tech Hub we understand that costs are on the rise, that’s why we are here to help you find every way possible to save on your current bills. A great way to start is by looking at your current energy bills. Energy bills can increase drastically year on year and if you don’t keep on top of them, they may end up eating into your disposable income.

Quick And Easy Changes For Your Home

  1. Change your lightbulbs to energy saving bulbs! Not only do they cost less to run, on average they also last significantly longer than other bulbs. LEDs are the most energy-efficient light bulbs as they use almost 90% less energy than traditional light bulbs, CFLs are a close second using 70-80% less.
  2. Another simple change is to simply switch off your lights when you leave a room. It’s the oldest trick in the book but still very relevant.
  3. Another great way to reduce your energy bills is to invest in insulation and draft proofing. By doing this you will significantly reduce the amount of heat/energy escaping from your home.

Solar Panels + Solar Battery

Solar panels have a large initial cost but in the long run, they are definitely worth it. Solar panels are not only environmentally friendlier than traditional methods but they are also technically free to use, as sunlight is free.

Solar panels allow you to use less or no energy from energy providers this therefore, reduces the cost of your energy bills. If you also invest in a solar battery, you can then ‘bank’ any additional energy your solar panels gather that you don’t use. You can then use this energy reserve when the sun is not shining.

Electric Vehicles + Charging Points

Although not technically energy bills, investing in an electric car will ultimately eliminate your petrol/diesel bills. Having an electric charger point installed in your home along with having solar panels can make car travel completely free (in the long run)! This will be a significant reduction in monthly costs!

How We Can Help

At Green Tech Hub we can offer a free offsite report to see if solar panels will work for your home. This will allow you to understand the cost of solar panels, and how much you may potentially save by moving forward with this.

Another thing to consider is installing an EV charger at your home. If you have an electric car or are looking into getting one, understanding the cost associated with the charger may be a great starting point.
